Jonathan Sasson


Jonathan Sasson works at the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada. He graduated from Dawson College in Liberal Arts and subsequently obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Université de Montréal and his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Université de Sherbrooke. He is now working on his Master of Laws (LL.M.). Jonathan was previously the Secretary-General of the Montreal United Nations Conference 2015, 2016 and 2017. At Université de Montréal, Jonathan was elected President and Head Delegate of the Faculty of Law’s Model United Nations delegation. Jonathan was the Host Team President of Harvard World Model United Nations 2017. Jonathan additionally founded Canadian Model United Nations connecting more than 60 conferences together with thousands of Canadian students.


Bakry Alsaieq

Under-Secretary-General for Administration

Bakry Alsaieq is a student at Concordia University, studying in Political Science and Community and Public Affairs. Born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and raised in an Eritrean family, Bakry joined Model UN in his last year of High School and has attended multiple conferences since. He has served as Political Affairs Coordinator and Vice-President of Internal Affairs for the Vanier College Students' Association. In addition, Bakry has served as President and Head Delegate for Vanier Model United Nations during the 2016-2017 academic year, as well as Secretary-General for VMUN 2017. He is currently the Academic Coordinator for the Arts & Sciences Federation of Associations at Concordia. Interested in international relations, Bakry envisions working with Global Affairs Canada.


Tina Wang

Under-Secretary-General for DelegatE Relations

Born in Hangzhou, China, and raised in the Montreal, Tina Wang is an alumna of Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf where she graduated from the International Studies program. Enthusiastic about global affairs and politics, she is pursuing her studies at the University of Ottawa in their Joint Honours program. Her Model UN experience began at age 16 where she participated as delegate in her first ever simulation and was drawn to it ever since. Other than attending conferences and being actively involved in student life, Tina can be found drinking overpriced coffee while vigorously writing or traveling around the globe and learning a new language. She is looking forward to welcoming you to this year’s MUNC for an unforgettable weekend filled with enriching experiences.


Annelies Coessens

Under-Secretary-General for Media

Annelies Coessens is in her last year at Concordia University, where she studies Political Science and Women’s Studies. She was born in Abu Dhabi, United Arabic Emirates, and has lived in various countries. Having a passion for traveling and wanting to pursue an international career, her career goal is to work in the United Nations or become a driven Belgian diplomat. Her Model UN career began at Concordia University as a delegate and has continued by seeking further opportunities, such as attending MUNC as one of the Assistant Chairs in the UN Environmental Assembly. In her free time, you can find her reading about equality and the environment or taking pictures about issues and topics that affect us in the 21st century.
