Known as the City of Festivals because of its rich history, culture and heritage, Montreal is built on an island located in the Province of Quebec in Canada. The city headquarters the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in addition to the United Nations Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). It is one of three cities in North America that houses offices of the United Nations. Montreal previously hosted the World Fair in 1967 and the Summer Olympics in 1976. In 2017, Montreal is celebrating its 375th anniversary and Canada is making its 150th anniversary since Confederation.
